LawPay, the premier payment processor to the legal industry, launches mobile application to the Apple app store. The mobile app will allow LawPay users to request and accept payments with ease. More specifically, LawPay app users will be able to separate funds into Trust or Operating accounts, request digital signatures, as well as void, refund, and view past transactions from their mobile device.
LawPay has also expressed that additional features will come in with future updates. This includes mobile card swipers, support for EMV (chip cards), and ACH payments.
“We’re excited to bring our proprietary payment solution to iPhones with the LawPay app” says Amy Porter, CEO of LawPay. “Now attorneys can receive credit card payments anywhere, manage all of their transactions, and get paid even easier than before with confidence in LawPay’s secure end-to-end encryption.”
The LawPay solution is designed to correctly separate earned and unearned fees to avoid commingling funds when accepting credit card payments. More importantly, LawPay contractually protects your client funds by restricting the ability of any third-party from debiting monies from a Trust or IOLTA account. LawPay works in partnership with over 90 bar associations across the country, including the American Bar Association, to ensure our program is up-to-date and in compliance.
